Covid-19, Ebola, Malaria, HIV/AIDS, and other diseases are longstanding challenges in Sierra Leone that have been worsened by poverty and malnutrition. This has continued to get worse and there is little action around transforming Sierra Leone's health care systems so communities can best be served.
The aim of the Agriculture in Sierra Leone is to support sustainable agricultural development that optimises the use of available resources and contributes to economic and social sustainability in livelihood development. We recognise that supporting rural livelihoods should not only address technical challenges, but increase food production and environmental protection in communities and train youths of vocational skills as a source of livelihood in communities.
Closing this infrastructure gap matters greatly for Sierra Leone’s economic development, for the quality of life of its people, and for the growth of its business sector. ISD-SL aims to assist in the construction of roads, schools, health facilities.
